Deep Dive Stream Privacy Notice

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Deep Dive Stream collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, streaming service, account features, subscriptions, and related services. It is intended to give you a clear picture of our data practices and the choices available to you.

Counsel review draft. This notice should be reviewed with Deep Dive Stream's attorney before production publication, particularly the state-law rights, retention, advertising, and contact provisions.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Deep Dive Stream, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name or display name, email address, account identifiers, authentication information, account settings, and subscription status.
  • Subscription and transaction information: plan, subscription status, transaction identifiers, billing status, and related purchase records. Payment-card processing may be handled by payment service providers; Deep Dive Stream should not represent that it stores full payment-card numbers unless that is verified.
  • Viewing and engagement information: titles watched, playback position, completion status, Continue Watching activity, Watch History, My List selections, and interactions with catalog content.
  • Search and discovery information: search queries, genre and collection browsing, and other actions used to find content.
  • Device and technical information: IP address, browser and device information, operating system, network and diagnostic information, timestamps, security logs, and similar technical data generated when you use the service.
  • Communications: information you provide when contacting support, making a privacy request, reporting a problem, or otherwise communicating with us.

2. Sources of Information

We may receive information directly from you; automatically from your use of the service; from payment, hosting, authentication, video-delivery, security, analytics, and other service providers; and from other sources when permitted by law and appropriate to the service.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to provide and operate Deep Dive Stream; create and secure accounts; authenticate users; process and administer subscriptions and transactions; deliver and resume video playback; maintain My List, Continue Watching, and Watch History; provide search and discovery features; respond to support requests; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; diagnose and improve performance; comply with law; enforce agreements; and protect Deep Dive Stream, our users, filmmakers, licensors, and partners.

Where required by applicable law, additional uses that are materially different from the purposes disclosed at collection may require additional notice or consent.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, cloud hosting, database and authentication services, video hosting or delivery, security, customer support, communications, and analytics. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a corporate transaction, or at your direction.

Advertising, sale, and sharing: Deep Dive Stream's attorney should confirm whether any current or planned advertising, analytics, or marketing technology constitutes a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws before this notice is published. This draft intentionally does not make an unverified “we never sell or share” representation.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Deep Dive Stream and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, and similar tools to keep users signed in, remember settings, support playback and account functionality, protect the service, measure performance, and understand how the service is used.

The production site should provide appropriate consent or preference controls where required by law. The “Cookie Preferences” footer link currently points to this section until those controls are implemented and verified.

6. Data Retention

We intend to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the service, maintaining account and transaction records, security, dispute resolution, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal obligations.

Before publication, Deep Dive Stream should document and counsel should review the actual retention periods or retention criteria for major data categories, including account records, transaction records, viewing history, playback progress, support records, and security logs.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should protect their credentials and notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Deep Dive Stream, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to request access or information, deletion, correction, portability, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Some laws also provide rights concerning sensitive personal information and prohibit discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

We may need to verify a request before acting on it, and legal exceptions may permit or require us to retain certain information. Authorized agents may be permitted to submit requests where applicable law allows.

California

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, if Deep Dive Stream is subject to that law. Applicable rights can include knowing/accessing information, deletion, correction, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting certain uses of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination.

Before production publication, counsel should confirm whether Deep Dive Stream currently meets the CCPA applicability thresholds and whether a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism, Global Privacy Control handling, additional notices at collection, or other California-specific disclosures are required.

9. Children

Deep Dive Stream is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Before publication, counsel should confirm the service's minimum account age, any family or child-profile plans, and the appropriate COPPA and state-law language.

10. International Users

If Deep Dive Stream makes the service available outside the United States, personal information may be processed in countries other than the country where a user lives. Before international launch, this notice should be supplemented as necessary for applicable international privacy laws, lawful transfer mechanisms, local rights, and representative or controller information.

11. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice as our service, technology, legal obligations, and data practices change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.

12. Contact and Privacy Requests

Deep Dive Stream will provide a designated method for privacy questions and privacy-rights requests. Before publication, insert and verify the legal entity name, mailing address, privacy email address, and any required toll-free number or web request form.

Attorney completion items: legal entity; privacy email; mailing address; request-submission method; applicable telephone number; identity-verification process.

This draft is designed for attorney review and does not itself determine which privacy statutes apply to Deep Dive Stream. Legal requirements depend on the company's activities, jurisdictions, scale, data practices, and service-provider relationships.
